Coming soon...

This will explain why I have fallen off the face of the earth...I'm hoping for only a month more of these sickies, but even during this time I am thankful for this blessing. Our due date is July 31st. Maybe someday I'll get another update on here.

70's Gangsta ;-)

What a fun weekend. Griffin got 2nd place in our local preschool costume contest, we got to walk around and get candy from our neighbors and then had a great time at Grace Community at our carnival. We couldn't believe he wore the wig the whole night, he was so darn cute in Uncle Patrick's leisure suite from 1977. Thanks for letting us borrow it. The costume was a HIT!

Cousin Lilli and Griffin at the carnival. Oh my word, does it get any cuter?
braving the cold...it was worth it to get 2nd place!

Just a quick rest at one of our candy stops.

the sistas~

The fam...we love you guys. Even the two with the mullets:-)

Momma and our sweet boy!!

FINALLY carving!

We finally got our pumpkin carving on...on the 31st. Griffin was more interested in eating his apple than scooping out the "inners" but at least he got to see how it works. We loved having Uncle Patrick, Aunt Denise, Mema and Lilli here to help us celebrate the 70's with us!!

Two became ONE!

Momma and Daddy got a night out, and what a night it was. My friend, since 5th grade, Lindsay got married on August 15th (oh and did I mention, that was also the last day I nursed Griffin!). The wedding was gorgeous, the church, the bride, the flowers, the reception, you name it, she made it look great.

Lindsay and I have a lot of history, her mom was our principal and her dad was our competitive soccer coach. So we saw a lot of each other and had a great many years growing up together.

I am so happy for my friend. She couldn't stop smiling on her wonderful day. She looked beautiful and so content. I look forward to getting to know them as a couple. May God bless their marriage.

Have you ever seen a rice crispy groom's cake...so fun!

Um...look at his eyes! Love those baby blues. I really hope one of our children gets those gorgeous eyes!

No we don't have a skin condition, it's the lights during the dancing!
I'm so thankful to be able to share this day with you. Thanks for allowing us to witness this new part of your life.

Ridgway with Liv...oh my!

Griffin's buddy, Dylan!

A few weeks ago, Jayna and Liv, went with us to up to the Ridgway Art in the park event. The best part was a train ride in these red barrels. Oh my gosh...I just remember the lunch fiasco. We finally got into True Grit at about 1pm and then waited for our food for over an hour. Let's just say the people around us were giving us some pretty unpleasant looks due to two 19 month old kids who hadn't eaten or had naps. At one point Griffin and Liv had traded strollers, yes inside, and Liv fell through completely out the back where the flap comes down. It was all we could do to get out of the place without making an even bigger scene. Side note...don't order the nachos from there, they have change them and they didn't make up for our long wait and crazy kid behaviors. The pictures below are BEFORE it got really ugly. Jayna, can I get a witness?

Yes, even the "mimi" (binki) came out! It didn't help!
But this is how it ended :-)

Zoo & Aquarium

Denver ZOO

I'm so glad we made it to the zoo this summer. Although there were some amazing animals there, I have to be honest and say to a 20 month old, the best part was the train and the merry go round. I love that we get to be with this little person as he experiences all these things. I just love getting to be GRIFFIN'S Momma.

almost there, Griffin!

Griffin LOVED the train...here he is so excited to get on and then he's peeking over the seat to see Daddy!

checkin' out the hippos

Denver Aquarium

A bit overstimulating for his age, we still had a wonderful time seeing all the amazing fish and such. I just stood in awe of all the colors and creativity of God to make such beautiful creations. Griffin was a bit spent from a FULL weekend, note to self LESS IS MORE with a toddler, but none the less very cool place. Next trip- children's museum. (Do they like antibac that place like every hour? Just wondering)

Pollard Brothers Motors...2nd...again

Don't mention it to Jeff about us getting second, three years in a row. He does take our team very seriously! Well, only on the field and for the 10 minute ride home, then after that he's over it. We had another great season together and enjoyed getting to know our team members even more. We already miss you guys, but we're counting on your for next season.

Mema comes to town...

Gotta love that Mems!

Griffin is very excited~

Colorado beaches...rough as they may be, they are still fun!

What a great get-a-way that Ridgway Reservoir is for us. A little sun, water, digging, picnicking and well...small pieces of rock for a beach. Griffin fully enjoyed going there a few times this summer. My goal is to take the boy to a real beach next summer. Let's keep our finger crossed for that one! Oh and a shout out to Danie for the rash guard and sweet sandals!

Looks how nicely they are playing and enjoying their snacks!

Baby Bliss

First ones at the beach, so peaceful and quiet! what a champ that Griff is to go get the ball that floated out into the water.

"Where'd Libby Go"

For almost 3 weeks, we all stayed at our friend's house, the Rosentreters. What a blessing that was. We are in the home-stretch of our year long debt reducing decision to live with Jeff's parents. With such a generous offer from our friends, we had to take them up on it to give the 'rents a break from us!

Griffin was a bit confused as to where Olivia had gone. We were in HER house but she was no where to be seen. One time he was drinking out of her cup and he said, "Libby's juice" as in asking, this is her cup, right...so where is she.

It was a nice break for the guy...he enjoyed playing in her pretend kitchen, putting babies in her swing, and even carrying around her tea cups and pitcher! I was surprised how much he really did like playing with all her stuff.

One of his favorite things was picking "straw-babies" or strawberries and (to)matoes out of their garden. I had to keep a close eye on the guy to make sure he wasn’t picking green ones of either. He absolutely loved the garden, which makes me even more excited about having ours next summer.

When they finally got back you should have seen how cute they were together. They both were so flirty and excited, with HUGE smiles on their faces. Thanks, you guys, for such thoughtfulness and love that you have shown us.
