As many of you know, if Griffin loves something, it's motorcycles.  We love it because we didn't pick it for him.  It's totally his own thing, which makes that much more special.  When you think motor cross you think Travis Pastrana.  To Griffin, he's possible the coolest thing that ever lived.   Nitro Circus, Travis and his friends, have a new movie coming out where they do crazy and amazing stunts, which our boy loves.
There's a contest that ends tomorrow on facebook.  Whoever has the most attendees joining their viewing gets ticket to LA and also gets to meet Travis.  We realize it's a long shot, but thought we would give it a try for our guy.  It's the stuff we do for our kiddos :)

So, would you please click on the link below and "join" our viewing party. This would blow my son's mind if he got to meet "travis." You don't actually have to see the movie, just join our event.

he eats, sleeps, and plays with this toy.

In case you missed it, a few bdays back, we had a travis/red bull party for him.

First day on the job

Griffin loves all things Daddy.  When he FINALLY got to go to work with daddy, like his buddy Brayden does, he was all smiles.  This morning he didn't want to eat, 'cause daddy doesn't eat much breakfast, he got his Car Quest shirt on and even willingly wore non sport shorts.  This guy was ready to do some deliveries.  We are thankful for this new business and all the blessings it has brought to our family and those that work for us.

He got back three hours later with a full report of his duties and the remains of some serious spoiling done by daddy.

Jury Duty

This is what happens when you show up to jury duty at 8:15 and they say some issues still need to be worked out before being brought to trial.  You grocery shop while your kids are still with a sitter and the rush your buns home to gather them up, spread some peanut butter on a tortilla with honey and you throw them in the car and hit the POOL.  These are the things I hope they remember :)
All pictures are brought to you by the good ol' instagram/iphone.
I'm just so proud of this girl, she's so brave and has such a fun spirit.  She's spirited, that's for sure.
Ok, come on, tell me you are not dying over this cute suit and those buns?
Get this, I called this chick on the way home from the store to check in, see how things were going, and invite her to join us at the pool.  I had to leave a message.  I haven't talked to her in about 3 months.  Guess who I parked next to? You got it! Cor.
Have you seen a cuter Mama?  She has two little beauties too.

It was such a treat to see her lovin' on her babies and to catch up.  We.Must.Do.This.Again.
Looks who's back from a 3 week vacation?  Griff was super excited to see his buddy, Liv, today.
4.5 yrs
They were coming up with some pretty sweet moves.
And just for fun, um, when did this happen?

Sometimes the competition gets a little rough...
Oh, and yes, we still haven't gotten Griffin a new rain jacket.  I have a few on ebay I'm watching :)

Above ground pool...

who know they could be so cool?
Here are a few pictures from our day, thankfully Mema was on hand to capture these moments.  My mom's/my friend invited us up to GJ for the day to hangout.  They have the greatest little pool right in their back yard.  I'm thinking we need to get in on that plan.  These kids just love the water.  It's so fun seeing Ailee just dive right in and copy most of things Griffin is doing.

Hope you all had a great Saturday that felt more like a Thursday because of the 4th of July :)
Also, happy birthday to my dad...7/7/47!

Rain-n-CO

It RAINED, and I mean it poured in our drought stricken land :)

We were a little unprepared...haha...Griffin's jacket is from when he was two and Ailee's boots say 12 months.  We are going out PRONTO to get them stuff that actually fits them :)
Thank you Lord for the rain.  Did any of you see the shirt that said, "make it rain" instead of "pray for rain"?  Silly, silly peeps who think they have any control over these things.

"America's day" -Griffin

"America must be at the party already, 'cause it's his day."  -Griffin
We just love this little guy and the stuff he comes up with.
We started our day off at the parade.  It was short, SHORT, but our campers were happy.  They had...
kids on motorcycles for the boy....
and cowgirls on horses for the girl.

We just love that we got Daddini for an extra day during the week.
We are also thankful for all the men and women who serve or did serve in the military to keep our nation free.  The older I get, and realize some freedoms are in jeopardy, the more we appreciate what/how America was founded.  Good thing ol' Daddini is a little passionate about how he loves America and our kids will have no choice but to hear him out :)
Don't ya just love it when your kids are excited?  It reminds me that even though I thought that parade was pretty lame, our kids find the simplest things beyond thrilling.
Here's to remember to enjoy the simple things...like a huge rain storm that afternoon...

Camping with the Koskans

We.Had.A.Great.Weekend.
I randomly called my dear friend, Danie to ask if she wanted to meet us for a weekend of camping. I thought there was no chance, 'cause they run a Christian camp in Key Stone, SD, but it just so happened that THIS was their only full weekend off ALL summer.  So you better believe we were going to take full advantage of getting our families together.  We drove a ways and they drove a longer ways...then we met for a blessed reunion.
Plus, we got a new pop-up camper we were dying to try out...
With a little help from these two, we were set up and ready for fun in no time.

I know I brag on Strider all the time, but really they were a big hit during our camping weekend.  Anytime we were back at camp, the kids were non-stop riding.
Don't you love it when one of your best friends has a kid at the same time as you and you get to see your littles create bonds and friendships of their own with each other?  The last time these two were together was probably 2 years ago...WAY too long if you ask me.  Although you wouldn't know it from how they hit it off right away.
They were creating games, competitions, and demanding that they sit near each other.  We are so blessed by this family.  They are such great parents and friends.  I enjoyed watching them love on their boys and accept the craziness with such grace.

Even our little, littles found some time to connect.  Ailee lovingly called Thatch, "the boy".
We love you guys so much and a truly thankful that you were willing to drive such a long way to hang out with us, Pollards.
I'm really hoping the next time is much short between visits then in the past.  God bless your family.
He's zonked out after a FULL weekend.  Those are the kinds we love.
