EASTER 2009...

Happy Easter to everyone! Our Easter was a bit of a downer due to colds and crummy weather. Although, we have a bigger reason then health and sun to celebrate (well it would have been nice) so we'll go with that. Thank you, Jesus for what you did for us on the cross and on that first Easter morning...and for what you do for us all THE TIME! We feel your love and your blessings!

This was the first time Griffin was able to dye Easter Eggs. Is there any other way to let a toddler do this? Enjoy...

Griff & EASTER GRASS

...and here you have it folks...the Easter grass. I'm totally lovin' it!

The other day the light was amazing...it had that wonderful warm, orange glow...which only meant at 4:45pm I had to get my son dressed for the day and get out and get some shots in this light. (what can I say, it was a stay in jammies kinda day!) Our little man is 15 months now and talking and running around like crazy.

Bring on the EASTER grass!

Wheat Grass for the Easter Basket
I'm so thrilled to be able to pass this fun, simple, easy, cheap, but CUTE craftish thing on to little Griffin (and you). My mom started this for us when we were younger and now I it's my turn. So all I did was buy Griff's Easter basket (at Target)(it's no potterybarn basket, but it will do for this year), the liner (at Home Depot), and the wheat berry seeds (Highlands health food store?) and put it all together. I soaked the seeds for 48 hours (supposed to be 24 but didn't get to it) and then fill the liner with soil and add the seeds and a bit more soil and top it off with Saran wrap and you are good to go. Remove the wrap once the seeds begin to grow and there you have it. REAL grass instead of the plastic colored grass. I will repost once the grass has started to grow so you can see how cute it looks.
