Hello Cuteness...

Tonight we went to Griff's first football game here in the TROSE. Just as we were walking out the door, the UPS truck showed up with this TDF buffs hat. Although we don't usually go out with the binki, tonight was a bit of a special case...45 minute afternoon nap and the game was over at 9...hence the binki! Oh, and yes we did get the "W"

SUPPER SOLUTIONS!!!

A few weeks ago, Cyndi, Jen, and I went to Supper Solutions. This has changed the way we do dinner. I can't stop talking about this place. Every month they change the menu and you can go in and prepare all your meals there (or they will do it for a small fee). So many great things, but one great thing is you dirty all their stuff and they clean it up!! We did 12 meals and that has lasted for us the greater part of August. We keep 2/3 in the refrigerator and the rest in the freezer until we need more. The dinners taste great, they're fast, easy, minimal clean-up at home, and I don't panic about what to serve...overall AMAZING!! I can't wait to go back next month!

I just had to post these new pictures. It has gone so fast...that's what they all say, but now I'm seeing it for myself and since I can't slow it down I HAVE to capture the SHORT moments. We love you Griff, you are such a special boy! One other thing...the airplane in the picture was made by my Uncle Van that passed away this year. We miss you, Vanster!

BABY FOOD

HOME MADE BABY FOOD!!!

We finally did it...and we are LOVING it. Griff eats the "real" stuff way better then the jar food. We used both the Kitchen Aid and a Magic Bullet. We prepared green beans, sweet potatoes, pears, nectarines, broccoli, asparagus, blue berries, plums, apples and peas. I feel like Mother Earth News...so empowering and he loves it too...total bonus! The best way to freeze them is in the ice cube trays...every cube is an ounce so you know exactly how much you are serving each time. Leftover breastmilk bags are good too, but the trays are best.

Lezlee and I got caught in the rain...

It seemed like a perfect night to go for a bike ride. With children in tow, we headed out. (Husbands headed to the shooting range) We had a great ride around our neighborhood, with even a few hills. Towards the end of our ride, it was one of those moments where your parents would have made you head home to avoid the rainstorm, but we are young and thought we could just have a little fun at the park and THEN head home. The "old" parents in us where right. I'm talking the second I put Griff in the swing the rain came down with a force. So we huddled under the jungle gym for a minute and decided it wasn't going to clear up anytime soon and we should just make a break for it. Unfortunately for Lez, my Burley's windows were out and she offered to have BOTH the boys on the way home. With Griff, screaming and us dying of laughter we rode home completely drenched. Maybe we'll learn our lesson...I doubt it. Enjoy.

Camping '08

Last weekend we went camping at the Paonia State Park Reservoir. This of course was Griff's first camping experience and what a champ he was. A great time was had by all, even the mosquitoes who ate us alive...enjoy the pictures.
