Rockin' the 4 month birthday :-)
14. 4 lbs (70%) lovin' those chubby LEGS!
24.5in (52%) 15.5in (head)
We love those little piggies!! We're seeing more and more of the bottoms of your feet. Your ultimate goal: to get them in your mouth. You haven't gotten there yet, but soon. Also, when you are on your back, you are now trying to roll over. You get on your side and try try try, but still roll right back. That will no doubt be in the next week or so too. You are now on a pretty good schedule:
~Wake up around 8am, Nurse
~Play on the floor, jumper, or just hang with momma. You are still loving watching your brother run around!
~9:30 nap 'til about 11:30, Nurse
~Play...
~1:30/2 Nap til about 4, Nurse (after, of course!)
~Play/hang in swing while Momma and Griffin make dinner
~5:30 DADDY GETS HOME!
~5:45 dinner (you watch)
~6:30-7:30 Nap again, Nurse
~play with the fam until about 9 and off to bed for the night
~you've been waking at either 4 or 6 to nurse then back to bed 'til around 8 or 9!!
You, little one, are pure joy! You've blessed us by being you, such a great baby. You've found a new octave that your brother never reached. So fun to hear you squeal with delight.

Travis and his " little lady" bug
Oh my word, the true excitement of a 2.75 year old when he gets to look like his hero, makes your day. All the ebay searching, bidding, and praying it gets here on time was all worth it when G said, "Momma I'm Travis Pastrana and I look SO cool." Sure do love that little guy and his pure heart. Speaking of heart, doesn't that little ladybug just melt your HEART. I heart Ailee! Getting that little costume was a story in itself, just glad we checked the GJ target even though they told us they were sold out.
Loleeta, does this make your "type A" personality go crazy? All those angles? |
I love this picture cause it shows just how big that helmet really is! |
Travis' agent, DADDY |
You are a cutie bug, Miss Ailee Mae. |

Does it get any better? Cauy and Macy, we love you guys and you were the best dressed the whole night! |
Cousin Gavin, both were a little freaked out by the whole situation! |
Elijah and Ailee |
while at the fall festival Griff...I mean Travis...got to try his hand at some football throwing.... |

some sister holding... |
and some putt-putt with grandma Macy. |
Travis loved going around with Cauy and Mace...they were a HUGE help and he was in all his glory! |

11 weeks
Ailee,
You finally had your 2 month appointment today (3 weeks late due to insurance issues). You are doing great. You weighed in at a whopping 12.8 lbs and 23 inches long. Your weight was in the 75% and your height in the 50%. You are pretty much sleeping through the night. You go to bed around 9/930 and wake up at 4 just needing your mimi put back in...then you sleep until 6, wake for a feeding and back to sleep 'til around 9am. Your naps are getting better in your crib. They have gone from about 20 minutes to at least 50 and even sometimes 2 hours! That makes for a happy Momma and baby.
Your SMILE is amazing. Your whole face lights up. I love when we can see your gums, it makes my heart feel pure joy. I can't help but greet you with a smile. You are loving to kick, especially on your changing table when I put the crinkly wipes package by your feet...you get such a "kick" out of that. Also, you are enjoying the floor mat with all the hanging toys. The swing is still one of your favorite places to hang out. You are always talking to yourself in the mirror above your swing and watching the little birdies go around.
Your eyes, oh my word, can I get an AMEN on this one? We prayed for those baby blues. They light up a room, little one. Your daddy's eyes are a gorgeous blue, only lighter. We are wondering if yours will continue to lighten or stay the way they are are now. Time will tell...I'm only certain to say they are going to stay blue. I'm in love :-)

great day for a drive!
On Sunday, the fam took a drive to meet Mema half-way. We had lunch together at the less then best Mexian restaurant, then off to park, and then wrap up our visit with a Starbucks. My mom, if you don't know her, is like a traveling sales woman, except you don't have to pay...right, D? She always has something for you in her car. She had a bag to tdf clothes for Ailee Mae and a bag of Playmobile guys for Griffin. She even brought along a few Smartwool hats from the sale in Steamboat. So, thanks Mema for all the treasures you had for us!! Sorry you horse still doesn't have a tail. Maybe next time we'll have that in our car for you.
On our way home, Griffin kept asking if we could climb the rock walls we were driving next to. Of course there's not place to park in the canyon so we just kept saying, sorry Griff there's no place to stop. Then just as we said that, we saw the exit for the Grand Mesa...so we took it. What was supposed to be a quick trip home turned into climbing, jumping, rock throwing, and fall tree site seeing. What a great idea you had, Griffin. Thanks!!

a little scare
Miss Ailee Mae-
You gave us quite the scare last week. We were in the garage ready to head to the ER, when I finally got you calmed down. We still aren't exactly sure what was going on, but you were one upset little girl. Like 45 minutes prior to all this, I put Burts Bees baby oil on your head to remove the dry skin that has accumulated there, I put on a hat as to not get the oil everywhere. I put you in the swing to finish up some last minute things before heading to Life Group. I heard you fussing and headed over to the swing, I noticed you had fallen down and bit so I lifted you by the arm pits to put you up a bit in the swing. Once I did that you really started crying, within 5 minutes you were screaming like I have never heard you scream. I knew something was different. You never act that way. I thought maybe you were having a reaction to the oil or maybe I had hurt your shoulder some how. I immediately put you in the tub to wash your head. You did calm down a bit at that point, but as soon as daddy walked in the door from work, you really picked up the screaming again. We got you out and then tried moving your arms to see if your shoulder was hurt. We couldn't tell 'cause no matter what we did you just kept screaming. I finally got a diaper on you and daddy said, "we can't keep trying to figure this out, we gotta go." So we gathered our things and headed out the door: you in just a diaper, Griffin in no shoes, and your Mom and Dad, in quit a panic. I'll never forget the look in your eyes, so sweet and pure, you looked at me as if to say, Momma make it stop. It broke my heart not being able to make it all go away. Like I said earlier, once we finally decided to go, you started to calm down. We waited a minute out there and then made our way back inside. Exhaustion set in from all the screaming and you fell asleep, hard...in my arms.
We realized three things: insurance is a good thing, you didn't dislocate your should and you didn't have a reaction to the oil. What we don't know is why you were screaming, only that you stopped!! Our best guess is some sort of stomach pain or GI issue. You haven't had any more episodes, and we are very grateful! Lord, thanks for watching over our Ailee Mae girlie.

Pumpkin Patch in Fruita
Last week the kids and I went up to visit Cyndi and her kids. We went to this cute little pumpkin patch just before Fruita. A good time was had by all and followed up with a picnic in the park. I can't believe how hot it still is, we are LOVING it!
heading to the HUGE slide... |
This slide is rediculous. I went down it with Griffin on my lap and almost flew off the end. The next time I tried to hold on the the sides and that was unsuccessful too, due to the burning sensation and having to hold G at the same time. So be ware if you dare attempt this slide.
Griffin (he looks like my mom here) and Aidan :-)

dedication...
Miss Ailee Mae, on Sunday, you were dedicated to the Lord. We committed to raising you in such a way that you would know His love for you. Our prayer is that you always know that love and desire to serve Him with your life. Karl, our pastor, prayed over you and us as parents to raise you in a house that honors him and teaches of his ways. We are blessed beyond words that Jesus would entrust us with your life and that we get to live this adventure together. Ailee, we will make many mistakes along the way, but our prayer is that you always know we love you and are seeking His wisdom on how to bring you up. Also, my prayer is that we know and invest in the things you love and make you who you are...along with the gifts and talents the Lord has built/given to you. Be there...love, Momma and Daddy :-)
Up on stage at church...
Our good friends, the Rosentreters, dedicated their little man, Elijah, too.
After church we went out to lunch with Daddy's family and Papa prayed for you. We also had our home group come over that afternoon and we all prayed for both Elijah and You. It was a great time of growth and humility as parents realizing what a task it is to raise kids in a Godly way.

it's pumpkin time :-)
On Saturday, a whole crew made their way to the Covered Bridge pumpkin patch. Cousins, friends, grandparents, adopted grandparents, and even an adopted uncle...Griffin was in heaven. It's one of those places we go back to year after year and we still love it. So glad our little town has such a cute place for us to enjoy and kick off the fall season. The trees still haven't all changed, so we'll be back for sure. This time, I think we'll bring Daddy-o along.
